PERINATAL HIV CARE

The Perinatal Transmission Prevention Guideline Committee produced the guidelines on HIV and pregnancy and prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV 

The Perinatal Transmission Prevention Guideline Committee recommends that clinicians who provide medical care for pregnant patients with HIV follow the DHHS Recommendations for the Use of Antiretroviral Drugs in Pregnant Women With HIV Infection and Interventions to Reduce Perinatal HIV Transmission in the United States. The Committee also encourages care providers in New York to follow these good practices specific to NYS.
